”Aqua Dance” is the title of this rare cinematic concert experience. In collaboration with the Australian film company Wish Bone Films, COP15 and Wonderful Copenhagen, Pumpehuset marks the setting of this remarkable event, where fantastic shots of Great Barrier Reef, Australia, is combined with a concert by Safri Duo. The goal is to create a synergy effect between the breathtaking underwater footage of the Great Barrier Reef and the energetic, drum based music by Safri Duo.

The movie "Aqua" will be shown on a large screen behind Safri Duo on the large stage in Pumpehuset. For that reason Safri Duo will play most of the concert instrumentally, but in order to create an interaction the duo will be joined by a  guest vocalist on stage (tba)

"Aqua is Australia´s official contribution to the climate conference COP15 , which will take place in Copenhagen 7.-18th of December 2009. The movie is an intensive cinematic under water journey into the beautiful and diverse life of the Great Barrier Reef; Kaleidoscopic fish, sea turtles, sharks and a countless numbers of ocean vegetation.
But the showing of the movie will also put focus on the fact that the beautiful reef is very vulnerable and threatened due to the climate changes.

Safri Duo needs no greater introduction. Their status as the greatest Danish export success ever - only beaten by the group who shares name with the title of the event AQUA,  speaks for itself: Safri Duo looks forward to being a part of  the event and are honored by the Australian interest. Safri Duo has been contacted by Wish Bone Films before concerning a collaboration, but it is due to COP15 that the opportunity to sample Australian underwater footage with Danish percussion has appeared.

The event starts at 7pm with the marking of Earth Hour, where it is possible to see an exhibition of The great Barrier Reef in candlelight, which will be the only light source during Earth Hour.

The concert/movie footage starts at 9pm and a DJ will perform both before and after the show.
